Project Manager / Business Analyst, Los Angeles, CA
Job Summary
The Project Manager/Business Analyst´s main responsibility is to maintain complete client satisfaction, guarantee on time and high quality projects through solid project management and ensure client retention.
Job Responsibilities
As Project Manager the candidate will:
- Manage various projects ranging from systems integrations to custom portals to custom reports to core VLS upgrades to content development
- Assure projects remain on time and budget
- Provide project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead implementation of VLS for new clients
- Coordinate development and QA activities for client projects
- Serve as the main point of contact for the engineering team's questions about customization projects
- Manage resources
- Provide estimates on level of effort for requested efforts
- Understand the client´s business as it relates to VLS and formalize said requirements in business and functional requirements
- Act as a VLS SME to make sure custom projects are going to add to the clients VLS installation
- Gather business requirements for customization projects and author functional specifications
- Design elegant and efficient solutions to complex business problems
- Act as a dedicated point of contact to the client for all its business needs relating to CERTPOINT´s VLS Suite
- Help the client realize the full value of CERTPOINT´s VLS Suite and guarantee client´s satisfaction
- Perform account management by continually maintaining account pulse and provide bi-weekly report to client
- Help organize resources around general support, content and training needs
- Communicate sales and growth opportunities to the Sales Executive
- Serve as CERTPOINT´s Subject Matter Expert for the client. Answer questions about the functionality of CERTPOINT´s VLS Suite

- 2-5 years of Project Management, Business Analysis and/or Sales Engineering experience, preferably at an enterprise software company
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to various client sites

- Previous experience in e-learning is not needed for this position
Wintel Systems Admin / Systems Engineer for Web Application, Roslyn Heights, NY
Description: We are looking for a Wintel Systems Engineer to work within our IT infrastructure team. The qualified individual should be internet application savvy.
Working environment: we are a 10 year young entrepreneurial software vendor with an energetic working environment. We appreciate individuals who can multi-task well, and keep calm under pressure. We also look for individuals who are self-starters with excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills. CERTPOINT is headquartered in Roslyn, Long Island, NY.
Required Experience
- Wintel systems support
- IIS 6.0
- SQL Server 2000 or later experience
- Experience in a production support environment and familiarity with support best practices
- General networking knowledge: proxies, firewalls, DNS, IP, FTP, HTTP, etc.
Desired Experience
- Experience working with ASP and .NET application environments
- Knowledge of SDLC (software development life cycle)
- Ability to automate system management tasks through scripting (windows batch, VBScript, etc.)
- Ability to understand and write simple SQL code
- Experience participating in or managing the technical aspects of the software release process, preferably in a commercial software organization
Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of the software release process
- Help ensure appropriate change control as software changes go through development and QA processes and eventually to our production hosted environment and directly to our customers.
- Support a multi-tiered ASP / .NET application in a web farm
- CERTPOINT’s hosted web application farm contains Windows 2003/IIS 6.0 web servers and SQL 2000 database servers
- Support a multi-tiered ASP / .NET application for our clients
- Knowledge of distributed computing / server hardware etc. is required to support our clients through their implementation or assessment of our solution
- Ability to help our clients with infrastructure-related trouble-shooting of CERTPOINT’s web application is required
- Document support and installation processes
Education
Bachelors in Computer Science/Information System or related field preferred. Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
