Vuepoint Appoints Dennis Taibl as VP of Sales
Comprehensive eLearning provider taps Taibl, formerly with Generation21, for decades of experience in growing revenues, market share and sales teams
LONG ISLAND, N.Y., Feb. 4, 2002 - Vuepoint, an eLearning software and services company that matches speed to knowledge with speed to market, today appoints Dennis Taibl as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Taibl, who brings to Vuepoint over 20 years of experience in sales of products and solutions, including expertise leading eLearning sales teams, will spearhead the effort to increase market share and build Vuepoint's inside and outside sales team and processes.
Previously, as Director of Sales & Business Development for Generation21 Learning Systems, a major corporate eLearning company owned by Renaissance Learning Inc. (Nasdaq: RLRN), Mr. Taibl excelled at increasing market share and profits through developing and managing a national sales team, developing strategic partnerships, and gaining key accounts with Fortune 500 companies.
"Dennis' proven record of increased sales and profits, combined with his industry knowledge and contacts, will further position Vuepoint for growth," said Ara Ohanian, CEO of Vuepoint. "We're delighted that Dennis is joining our team to help us spread the word to global enterprises that our comprehensive system is the best choice to help them increase their competitive edge rapidly and dramatically."

The addition of Mr. Taibl to the Vuepoint team comes during a period in which corporations are realizing the economic benefits and rapid ROI associated with eLearning, even in periods of economic downturn. Recently International Data Corp. (IDC), an independent analyst and consulting firm, estimated that by 2004 the eLearning market will grow to $14.7 billion in the U.S. and $23 billion globally. Vuepoint is strongly positioned to lead this growth, since its Vuepoint Learning System (VLS) 3.0, which has both LCMS and LMS capabilities, is winning over clients such as Black & Decker and Toyota and gaining recognition from analyst groups such as brandon-hall.com and Pacific Growth Equities.
"I'm excited to join Vuepoint because I know from my experience that companies are looking for exactly what Vuepoint offers -- an easy-to-use and comprehensive eLearning solution that allows for rapid deployment and quick ROI," said Dennis Taibl. "I'm looking forward to building upon Vuepoint's impressive client list during a critical and exciting period in our growth, as well as the growth of the eLearning industry."
Prior to Generation21 Learning Systems, Mr. Taibl was VP of Sales & Operations for Bonacker & Leigh, a consumer products brokerage company, and VP of Sales & Marketing with Multi-City Food Industries, a restaurant and hospitality industry food company. Mr. Taibl holds a B.S. from Purdue University and a M.A. from New York University in management and marketing.
