Parsons Brinckerhoff Chooses Vuepoint To Improve Performance of Inspectors and Speed Up Deployment to Natural Disasters
Solution helps inspectors review FEMA requirements before fieldwork
LONG ISLAND, N.Y., Dec. 4, 2003 - Vuepoint, a leading provider of sales effectiveness solutions and software, has been selected by Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), an international program management, engineering, planning and construction management organization, to improve the performance of home inspectors sent to natural disaster sites, as well as assisting PB in deploying the inspectors on a quick response schedule.
PB selects, trains, deploys and manages inspectors on behalf of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), drawing from a nationwide pool of 27,000 inspectors, who must review their knowledge of FEMA requirements. PB estimates Vuepoint's system will increase the effectiveness of the selection and preparation process and reduce its costs, as well as enhance the quality and productivity of the inspectors' work. In the wake of natural disasters, PB will use Vuepoint's system to pre-train inspectors in their homes, helping PB to more easily choose a highly qualified group and expedite their deployment.
"Vuepoint's solution gives PB the ability to update many more inspectors on current regulations without having to bring them into a classroom," said Hugh Inglis, Project Manager. "It will positively impact the balance sheet, but the bottom line is that it will help us better serve our client, FEMA, and the applicants who need assistance."
"Our work with Parsons Brinckerhoff is a great example of technology and services from the private sector bringing greater effectiveness to a government mission, in this case aiding victims in the wake of a natural disaster, when speed plays a vital role," said Ara Ohanian, CEO of Vuepoint.
