CME Devices is the North American Distributor of leading edge infusion pumps for the home healthcare and hospital marketplace. The challenge CME faced was to be able to leverage their limited resources to compete with much larger competitors by applying technology. CME turned to CERTPOINT to develop training modules that would allow nurses and pharmacists to educate themselves on CME infusion pumps in a virtual web-enabled environment. The objective was to allow nurses and pharmacists to train, practice and be certified on the CME pumps remotely via the web. CERTPOINT created simulations of the pumps that operate identically to the actual devices. A nurse can power up the pump, learn the functions, practice entering prescriptions and testing their proficiency at anytime, anywhere. Considering that the standard industry approach to delivering training is "in-service" (where CME representatives would be training small groups of people in the field at customer locations nationwide) today, CME can train 100's of individuals through the web with speed and frequency.

First Data required an external learning portal to train and educate their agents, brokers and representatives on their newly issued products and services.  Achieving speed in deployment of new learning modules and providing reach to 1000’s of internet based users was the primary challenge.  First Data selected the VLS to manage the course offerings and provide for sub-portals dedicated to each specific audience.
